positive impact entrepreneurs
A community of entrepreneurs working on innovations to build regenerative businesses in the lifestyle sectors
My mission is to see an end to food and toxic chemical waste, supporting The United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals to achieve good health and wellbeing, and the efficient use of natural resources by 2030.
How? 1. Through supporting entrepreneurs with brand and marketing strategies that help to move consumer culture in a positive direction. 2. Through innovation programmes, and partnerships with agile organisations offering transparent and efficient circular ecosystem solutions.
Why? A few years into my marketing and media career I started to think about the impact my actions were having on consumer culture. Some of the top brands I was managing at the time with the biggest budgets, and market presence, generally encouraged people to live unhealthy lifestyles. And the reality check for any promotion or marketing awards success I received meant I was helping to make global companies with unethical supply chains bigger!
What kind of future was this creating? I didn’t want to leave the creative industry, so I started to explore ways to be the solution, rather than continue in the same routine, as part of the problem.
to change the world, you have to throw a better party
than those destroying it
Digital marketing and social media platforms have immense power to influence our culture in how we think, feel, and act. I figured I have an opportunity to use my skills and experience to make a bigger impact on the world, by supporting Positive Impact Entrepreneurs - inspiring people who work on innovations to build regenerative businesses in the lifestyle sectors, and attribute success to profit, and how their outputs care for people, and the planet.
These are organisations that nurture our ecosystems, rather than destroy them. The term "regenerative" describes processes that restore, renew or revitalize their own sources of energy and materials. Regenerative design creates resilient and equitable systems that integrate the needs of society with the integrity of nature. (Wikipedia). Read more here about regenerative businesses.
I categorise these to be the following: food & drink, hospitality, music, wellness, architecture, product, interior & fashion design. As a collective, they are creative disciplines that naturally intertwine together with no boundaries. Across these sectors there is a constant need to innovate, to create, to amaze - it’s where the arts and business are dynamically merged, which is exactly what fires up my mojo as a creative force to influence a positive lifestyle economy!
